AI产品开发的秘诀:可持续发展

AI产品经理的能力提升对于AI产品开发成功至关重要,而可持续发展、AI技术和基于“心智”的产品开发方法则是其中的关键问题。为此,联合国训练研究所上海国际培训中心与全才测评系统服务(上海)有限公司联合推出了“UCAM人工智能产品经理高级研修班”,以帮助企业管理者掌握新的AI产品开发方法。

人工智能(AI)是一项划时代的技术。它可以成为实现可持续发展目标的变革力量。2024年3月22日,联合国大会全票通过全球性的人工智能决议,呼吁全球各国抓住“安全、可靠和值得信赖的”人工智能系统带来的机遇,让人工智能给人类带来“惠益”,并以此促进可持续发展。

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a groundbreaking technology. It can become a transformative force in achieving sustainable development goals. On March 22, 2024, the United Nations General Assembly unanimously passed a global resolution on artificial intelligence, calling on countries around the world to seize the opportunities brought by “safe, reliable, and trustworthy” artificial intelligence systems, so that artificial intelligence can bring “benefits” to humanity and promote sustainable development.

许多成功企业的经验就是提升AI产品经理的能力。和传统产品开发不同,AI产品有一套独特的产品开发管理方式。AI产品经理掌握了这些新方法,产品开发的成功率就能显著提高。但目前,优秀的AI产品经理一将难求,高薪难觅,已经成为阻碍AI产品创新的“堵点”。

The experience of many successful companies is to enhance the ability of AI product managers. Unlike traditional product development, AI products have a unique set of product development management methods. By mastering these new methods, AI product managers can significantly improve the success rate of product development. But currently, it is difficult to find excellent AI product managers with high salaries, which has become a bottleneck hindering AI product innovation.

首先,AI技术是AI产品的核心,优秀的AI产品经理要懂技术。但AI产品经理要掌握的技术知识和开发人员并不相同。我们要能把握AI技术发展的趋势,会从商业角度评判AI技术,如不同算法和模型的成本效益评估,项目开发中可能存在的技术风险点,数据管理中的伦理和合规性问题等等。

Firstly, AI technology is the core of AI products, and excellent AI product managers need to understand technology. But the technical knowledge that AI product managers need to master and developers are not the same. We need to be able to grasp the trend of AI technology development and evaluate AI technology from a business perspective, such as cost-effectiveness evaluation of different algorithms and models, potential technical risk points in project development, ethical and compliance issues in data management, and so on.

这里的关键是:AI产品经理掌握技术的并不是用来替代开发人员做决策。我们掌握技术的真正目的是更好地和AI开发人员沟通,取得共识。相互信任,形成合力。

The key here is that AI product managers are not using technology to replace developers in making decisions. Our true goal in mastering technology is to better communicate with AI developers and achieve consensus. Mutual trust and formation of synergy.

其次,AI产品经理要善于从用户“心智”来设计产品功能。“心智”是AI产品创新的关键。新技术往往会让用户困惑。成功的AI产品需要从用户痛点出发,基于用户研究和数据,深刻理解用户的思维模式,把创新技术以用户“心智”可以接受的方式运用到产品中去。

Secondly, AI product managers should be adept at designing product features from the user’s “mind”. “Mind” is the key to AI product innovation. New technologies often confuse users. A successful AI product needs to start from the user’s pain points, based on user research and data, deeply understand the user’s thinking patterns, and apply innovative technologies to the product in a way that the user’s “mind” can accept.

例如:OpenAI的大语言模型一开始只有一百多个商业用户,但是,他们的产品经理发现,“聊天”看上去“传统”,但却是用户“心智”熟悉的模式。于是,ChatGPT将先进的大语言模型和“聊天”结合在一起。这个产品在推出五天内就达到了100万用户,两个月后更达到1亿用户。这套基于“心智”的AI产品开发新方法会贯穿于用户体验、行为设计和商业模式设计等工作中。通过用户访谈、A/B测试和数据分析,产品经理能够更好地理解用户需求,设计出符合用户“心智”的产品。

For example, OpenAI’s big language model initially only had over a hundred commercial users, but their product managers found that “chatting” may seem “traditional”, but it is a pattern that users are “mentally” familiar with. So, ChatGPT combines advanced big language models with “chatting”. This product reached 1 million users within five days of its launch and even reached 100 million users two months later. This new method of AI product development based on “mind” will be integrated into user experience, behavior design, and business model design. Through user interviews, A/B testing, and data analysis, product managers can better understand user needs and design products that meet their “mental needs”.

第三,可持续发展同AI产品开发密切相关,它不仅是AI产品开发的愿景,更会融入于AI产品开发的各种具体流程和方法之中。如今,可持续发展目标在许多领先企业中已经转化为ESG(环境、社会、公司治理)标准,并进一步落实为许多产品开发管理中的具体指标。AI产品经理需要理解并掌握这些新标准。

Thirdly, sustainable development is closely related to AI product development. It is not only the vision of AI product development, but also integrated into various specific processes and methods of AI product development. Nowadays, sustainable development goals have been transformed into ESG (Environmental, Social, Corporate Governance) standards in many leading enterprises and further implemented as specific indicators in many product development management. AI product managers need to understand and master these new standards.

特别是伦理和合规性问题,在AI产品开发中尤为重要。面对AI,社会上会有忧虑情绪。许多AI产品本身也正在探索从未有人涉及过的领域,它们引发的间接反应往往很难预料。如果AI产品经理没有掌握正确的方法,面对两难问题时没有清晰的决策标准。不经意间就可能会酿成大错。可持续发展的理念正是产品经理解决这些问题的决策基石。它不仅保护了用户,保护了产品,保护了企业,更保护了我们自己。

Especially ethical and compliance issues are particularly important in AI product development. Faced with AI, there will be anxiety in society. Many AI products themselves are also exploring fields that have never been explored before, and the indirect reactions they trigger are often difficult to predict. If the AI product manager does not master the correct methods and does not have clear decision-making standards when facing a dilemma. Inadvertently, it may lead to a big mistake. The concept of sustainable development is the cornerstone of decision-making for product managers to address these issues. It not only protects users, products, enterprises, but also protects ourselves.
